Was worth the price of admission even tho it was a 3-0 sweep for Wright State. Big raucous crowd, lots of support for both teams - a really great atmosphere. High level play but Wright State was just too much. Too many weapons, Jenna Story cleaning up the back row and the ball control from everyone else was just too good. NKU struggled with ball control and lost the serve and pass game. Had some highlights and were ahead in the third but WSU is a veteran team and never wavered or panicked.
Can’t pick an mvp from wsu - they are so balanced and everyone just does their job. The entire team gets my vote. Briggs from nku was a bright spot early for nku and Kanakary came alive in set three.
I am so glad I went and so glad I got there early - heard it was a sell out. Congratulations to Wright State. May be the biggest 4 year turn around in college volleyball. From qualifying in 6th place in the league in 2018 to NCAA births 3 of the last 4 years and undefeated conference record in 2020 and 2022. Seriously, this program was DOA in 2018. It’s been fun to catch a few matches a year.

The Horizon League definitely missed having a competitive UIC team in the conference this year. Wright State dominated the season and the conference tournament. I was very impressed by the Meyer from Wright State that stepped in as setter. She ran a great offense and was great on defense as well. Where have they been hiding her? Sounds like she has a year of eligibility left so we will see where she ends up. Lots of young talent at Cleveland State. Voss was fun to watch this year. Hopefully this league will continue to improve. Wright State was a very small venue for the conference tournament but they packed them in and it was loud.
