CAL did not play that well vs. Utah, and haven't played that well since their first two matches. Confidence is low, and serve receive is a struggle. COL will not be nice, and should finish them off even easier, unless they have a letdown from pushing Stanford.

CU needs this match. Should be an easy sweep but CU has been known to lose focus. Hopefully they respond like they did last week after the USC loss. I see a lot of 1-1 weekends for CU this year which should be enough to make the tournament.

Watching Cal... They aren't a bad team and would beat half of D1 teams, but their RPI ranking won't reflect that. They are close to having the tools in place to be good, but there are too many spots that need that.

The outsides are just not great passers. Hopefully they have OHs entering the program in the next year or two that are skilled passers.

Not sure if Crosson is the best fit for Cal. He seemed to inherit the one good team he had and the fell apart at the end of the season too, and it's been a major spiral down since. I also don't think Cal administrators care, so he may be there for a long while. I believe I heard Cal admins don't care how good/bad a lot of their teams do. Rumor has it they are focused on academics and budget much more.

If so, CAL will be fine.
