I want both there I think Lanier is better than Frantti rn but it’s also worth noting Frantti was playing through injury for much of the year, especially the second half

Trying to catch up with this thread but am I reading this right: Ditch the B1G kids (Cook, JWO, Larson) Get rich with the Pac-12 kids (PLUMMER, Hentz, Lanier) FTFY OUT: Hancock, Poulter, Carlini, Drews, Cuttino, Frantti, Parsons, Washington, Rettke, White IN: Lloyd, Gray, Bugg, Lowe, Mims, Lanier, Bajema, Gross, Gates, Nuneviller

lol frantti was on the bench alot of times last season when she was with Chieri. Some players even perform better in NT compare to club and visa versa.

How many OH's did we take to the Olympics? And how many MB's?

these can be used directionally. i don’t think performance on their clubs teams are prioritized over their production with our national team staff/teammates. Some players might have better connection with their club rosters than the ones on their ntl team and vise versa. Outlier here being that Frantti and Carlini have had a really strong connection and had a full club season to work on it. Lanier and Hancock look solid too. Let’s get MBH back just to throw another wrench into the OH pool haha.

I'm glad Micha is getting a chance to lead this team. I'm even more excited to see a Carlini/Hancock setting duo. Love Poulter, but I have serious doubts that she will be able to regain her 2021 form with a completely reconstructed knee. I'm cautiously optimistic. For the finals I think Hancock/Carlini, Thompson/Drews and JWO/Hentz are locks. The interesting races are at OH and MB. I pretty much agree. But wonder if they will consider just taking JWO, with Krob or Larson as emergency backups bro's

I'm thinking Team USA goes 1-3 during week 2 of the VNL based on the roster selected.
Anyone else in this boat?

IF (and that is a very BIG if) Plummer passes well, that combo could be lethal. JT is better in system and I think KP is better OOS. I wish this were the other way around tbh.

This is probably KP's last chance to prove that she can still compete for a spot on the top roster. If she can't deliver (passing/terminating), I think the chances of seeing her on any meaningful rosters the remainder of the season are pretty low.
What do ya'll think?

I dont think so but the competition for the final roster spot is going to be hard. There's four spots for Larson, KRob, Bajema, Frantti, Plummer, Avery, Khalia. Although im not even sure if Larson/Krob/Bajema are even in the gym yet.

I'm legit curious how long you invest in a player and which players get the most chances?

There's no reason to just give up on someone yet (barring outside reasons) may it result in less opportunities? maybe... you can only take so many OHs... id be inclined to take 5 and only one libero... but you'd have to have kelsey accept that possibility... would she? idk.
