Iowa State has been playing stronger ball as of late, and has wins over Baylor and Kansas in conference play. They usually give Texas trouble especially in Ames. Texas better come ready to play.

Iowa State is different team in Ames. That’s where they beat both KU and Baylor. 7-1 this season at home. They’re also better since moving to the 6-2 after the loss to TCU. They’re offering $3 general admission tickets and free t-shirts for students, for a fan base that does a decent job supporting the program generally, so I’m expecting a rabid crowd. Usually I say that it’s important to get out to a lead against Texas, but they can always follow the Baylor template in their 2nd set win over Texas and just rattle off 12 service points after the 9 point mark to cruise to victory.

How about we not let that happen or do we wanna see JE throw his hands up in the air and move up and down the bench?

Texas will have a lead late and an opponent is going to go on a service run, and I’m immediately going to think, “Oh no. Not another Baylor.”

We need mln59 to bring his energy for sure. I’m still on the cocky side with this team. But my arrogance has a fragility to it that’s didn’t exist previously.

I definitely enjoyed being in Hilton for that "1" (go Panthers!) but I'm definitely pulling for the 'Clones against the Horns I would think virtually everyone is other than Longhorn fans. ISU is going to have their work cut out for them, so we’ll see how it goes. It’s tough for me to see them winning a set, much less 3 out of 5, but they don’t call it Hilton Magic for nothin’!

Texas should roll & we'll see how good of a blocking team ISU actually is. The Cyclones can go on stretches where they look incredibly bad. Too many of those & it'll be over quick. Will Duckworth be able to score against the front line of the Longhorns?

Will Duckworth be able to score against the front line of the Longhorns? Well, the blocking has looked worlds better against KSU and Baylor, but prior to that I would have said can Duckworth and Holthaus score consistently enough on UT’s back row? I feel like UT’s blocking this year is more formidable in reputation and potential than reality thus far.

What line up do you think we’ll seen? I’m predicting we continue with the ‘big’ lineup. Logan/Madi/Molly. Caffey in for Bella. Caffey and Molly both have monster matches and solidify this lineup.
