Of course they violated a trust but what difference does it make it this point? If you don’t want things like this to end up on the Internet for all to see then don’t do them in the first place. It’s common sense. I agree, I'm saying that one person(s) did something illegal, the women did something unwise. Unwise or just plain stupid? I’m having a really hard time sympathizing.

And we come around full circle. It may amaze people to discover this, but it is simultaneously possible to blame people for doing illegal or unethical things (like uploading private materials to the public internet) while also acknowledging that people ought to recognize that certain behaviors are risky. Like, if you accept a drink from a stranger at a party, that does not make it your fault if you get drugged and assaulted. But at the same time, it is not unreasonable to teach people to take precautions and be careful. These women apparently trusted whoever it was with the camera, and that person (or someone who had access to that person's files) betrayed that trust. One can acknowledge that a reasonable person should have known this was a risk when the picture was taken, and yet still blame the person who released the picture for doing something they knew was at least unethical and maybe also illegal. This may be the first time ever that we are in 100% agreement. 😆 I am curious to discover what other areas we might have common ground.

Forrest Gump said it best, “Stupid is as stupid does.”

I was told the following: Pictures are still accessible. There are more than 20 pictures and videos. All the pictures were not taken in the locker room. Some appear to be in private residences. There are multiple pics and videos from the locker room. Not everyone in the pictures was aware they were being photographed. The big 10 trophy was a prop in many of the photos/videos. So there is probably some issue from the conference there. Some pictures show full nudity. I can’t imagine that any of the players are happy with the leak. But there are a couple who are probably very angry at their teammates. I’m sure they can figure out who took a majority of the pictures. All of this is correct.

This incident has become the latest “meme” on TikTok….. I’ve seen probably at least 10 viral TikTok’s about it in the last week. And let’s just say they aren’t the most appropriate

It is very easy to find these picture/videos. They will never be removed.

I’m surprised no one mentioned that one of the players also “flashed” the supposed white supremacist hand signal. I guess people have been distracted by other things happening in the photo.

I've seen censored versions. Not all the photos and videos were taken in the locker room during the championship celebration. If that were the case, it could could be chalked up to one person does something, another does something in response, another, and another until it escalates into what was leaked. Something that none of them would normally do.
This is not isolated to a single incident, though. There's one where a player is flashing while others are laughing, egging her on while walking through a public place with other people around. A couple were taken outside on a dock or pier with arms in the air inviting all to see. A number of others were taken in various places that look like hotel rooms, apartments, etc. A couple were in public restrooms. This not a single bad decision.
While I think the person who leaked them is to blame, the players have to take some responsibility here. That being said, the ones I feel worst for are the ones who were in the background, etc. who were not posing for the camera.

Uh, where else would they have come from? Someone a player was dating and shared the photos with.

It's super super easy to hack into a persons photo cloud (rather than their individual phone), most naked celebrity leaks happen that way these days. If you are someone who is even semi-important, make sure you have a hard password and make sure your security questions are actually stuff only you would know.
