I disagree. It is horrifying, but it's also poor decision-making in this era to let "compromising" pics be taken...especially in this context. I guess you should be able to trust everyone in the locker room. But what if you can't, really? The University announced a police investigation into the leak (I assume it is the campus police conducting the investigation). Unfortunately, it is very likely that it wasn’t a hacker from outside, but someone in the circle of one or more players who somehow got access to the photos. That would be doubly difficult. Oh. So you're saying probably someone got into someone-who'd-been-the-locker-room's phone and stole the pics? Yeah, really hard to investigate, I'd think.

So, they flashed their boobs together? If this isn't a women's rights issue, I don't know what is. Men can casually walk around topless basically whenever they want, but women can't flash their boobs for a silly photo celebration? Men's breasts are sexy too. If this is a censorship thing, then men's breasts should be censored, too, because a) their breasts are sexually attractive (if that's the standard we're going by), and b) it is not fair to censor women unequally. Just my hot take on that one.

The announcement said "UWPD" is conducting the investigation. There are a number of law enforcement agencies in Madison and Dane County, with different jurisdictions: city of Madison police, UW "campus" police, Capitol police (whose jurisdiction is the grounds of the Capitol building and maybe other state properties), Dane County sheriffs, etc. Even though 'campus' is in the middle of Madison and it can be hard to tell from one block to the next whether you're 'on campus' or 'in Madison', the Field House is part of 'campus', not city of Madison, and is under the jurisdiction of the UW Police (and city of Madison ordinances do not apply). Walk across Breese Terrance or Monroe St, and you're then in city of Madison.

So what happens to one of the players since she is in the college coaching world now?
I mean who would want that circulating around their program?
Yeah did she mean for it to leak, no. But at the same time she took those pictures willingly. You would think some common sense would come into play. Especially if you are looking to have a professional career.

Yes, men are generally allowed to be shirtless in many circumstances when women are not, but I don't think that's the issue here. They flashed and THEY didn't want it to be public. They're not in trouble because it was made public - people are pissed at whomever made it public.

By all accounts the pictures were rather harmless besides nudity, the only issue is invasion of privacy by the person who stole the photos.

The fans at Nebraska, Ohio St and Penn St are going to have a field day when Wisconsin visits in the near future. In what way? Please elaborate.

It’s more than just some boobs or mild nudity. And it’s more than just them doing it after the championship game.

I understand that the players themselves are not being investigated, and there is no legal grounds against a group of women privately flashing their boobs. My point is more aimed against any public outcry putting the girls at fault. To make that case, I decided to point out the double standard in censoring women's breasts, while men are not censored. It was a hot take. I'll leave it at that.

Whoever leaked the photos has issues. At the same time if one of the players was my daughter I would be telling her she is just as guilty and there shouldn't be any finger pointing. WTH were these girls thinking letting someone take their pictures with their tops off thinking it would never make it to the internet. Poor decision making on their part. Hopefully this will be a life lesson for these girls and the volleyball community. I’m sorry are you their mom? Tf? They were in a LOCKER ROOM where they should have complete and total privacy. It’s not even slightly partially their fault for a picture they took with and for themselves got leaked by some disgusting idiot.

Could the players possibly make Lemonade out of this by producing a calendar? I don't think this is the joke you want it to be

Create a new account just to throw shade? And just why should people think you should have any kind of authority on this matter?!
