darn.......you just made me watch that interview.
Interview highlights, paraphrased: - "We're great"
- "Whenever we want to win any set, we do"
- "We're better than everybody else"
- "Wisconsin gym is a dark, cold dungeon" (actually no paraphrasing needed on that one)
- "We're great"
- "We'll be in Omaha"
- "One doesn't expect a falcon to pull a plow, or a butterfly to cook your breakfast.” (not sure what she was going for on that one)
lol ok

Really? That's what you took from this interview? - Talking up your teammates is polite, and common to the point of being expected. - Talking about the things that Nebraska has been doing well was in response to a question about what the team has been doing well. What would you expect? - Yes, she said that the Wisconsin gym is a dark, cold dungeon. Madi is pretty well known for not having much of a filter when being interviewed. I would ask other people to watch the interview themselves instead of taking Skullars' (or my) take on it.

PS I'm hoping not to take note of any of your players because it's of absolutely no importance to me. I mean what's to note? You've only had one player as of late that's been at all impressive, and it's only as of late... Allick. Of course, LRod has been doing her thing but quietly. Lauenstein has cooled off from her hot start to the season because there's now tape on her. It's amazing how NE fans think their team is the only team of note, no one knows anything but them. It's no wonder Texas fans hate you. Just relisting this after your recent comments, to demonstrate fans don't always practice what they preach... This makes no sense. I was making this comment prospectively (look it up) for an event that has yet to occur. You alone make NE a fly over state.

Smrek really gonna pull a 2021 NC isn’t she? smh The woman touches over 11 feet on her jump and hits with power. The ability to do damage from that high is unique, and she reaches far enough over on the block to redefine what "too close to the net" means on an OOS set. If she is on (which obviously includes a connection with a setter who normally wouldn't set that high), she is an absolute game-changer, but with nagging injuries and a position change, that hasn't happened often.

Ever since she went against John Cook at media days about summer practices I've made it a point to watch her interviews from time to time, and she does put a lot of coach/captain speech in there but when she forgets it's hilarious. I saw one of hers earlier this year where she mimicked getting aced by Lauenstein in practice (when asked about her serve) and it was funny in a way that is hard to describe. Personally, I have no idea how you can be that happy (and yeah, I'm sure we don't see the whole picture) and yet stay focused and driven. It's pretty impressive. Though I hope we provide some dungeon gloom for her to experience tomorrow.

For what it’s worth Devaney and the field house are both amazing venues, but for different reasons. To me it’s a matter of Taste. It’s silly to point out but Kubik isn’t throwing shade on the fieldhouse, so much as pointing out how Different it is from Devaney.

Well, we don't like your gym either, Madi. By the way, you're named after the best city in the country, the best college town in the country and our gym is a national landmark. Hey what is the lowest priced ticket that you charged for the record attendance in a regular season match? In the Kohl center or even in your gym tomorrow night. Do you raise the price depending on the competition? I know in the Devaney Center it is $10. I would be very, very surprised if Wisconsin has that as the starting benchmark for attendance to Wisconsin volleyball matches.

I would be very, very surprised if Wisconsin has that as the starting benchmark for attendance to Wisconsin volleyball matches. The Kohl Center has three levels, with capacity of roughly 10k, 3.5k, 3.5k per level. The face values for tickets for the Florida match were $15, $10, and $5. I'm not sure what student prices were. As far as I know, they has their usual basketball/hockey "end zone" sections set aside for them. Adding, the answer for the Field House is more complicated, but the price for general admission season seats is about $6 per match, up to about $37 per match for the mostly costly seats.
