I think of Eddie Izzard every time I run across your posts, dunc.

Whoa. Eddie Izzard reference. Deep cut there for these times. His American accent is so bad, it's actually funny. In the same way Matthew McConaughey trying to do an English accent would be self-deprecatingly funny.
That said, I have always wondered if Kennedy and his speechwriters put the 'ein" in "Ich bin ein Berliner" as an american joke everyone in Germany would get. And Kennedy going around saying "Ich bin ein Franfurter" and "Ein Hamburger" would have been absolutely hilarious, because it would have played self-consciously into the American stereotype, and it would have been completely true.

You gotta love how Nebraska fans are. They will spit venom if you're an "outsider" who dares to be critical, but they will eat their young like no other if they lose. That explains the aging population in Lincoln then.

Wisconsin didn't play so well, and definitely not out of their minds according to Husker Fans on their post match sobriety party..... Sorry to burst your bubble Huskerland. The big leads Wisky gave up and allowed runs of 7, 8, 9 points in a row, that was ridiculous. Sheffield is not a game management type coach and refuses to sub out Orzol or Franklin at the expense of almost losing second set up 21-10. One of the main hitters, Orzol, was atrocious the entire night (first time in 2022, and hopefully the last) -- passing and hitting -.500, pouting and looking deer in the headlights at times as she did often times last season. Overall WI didn't pass well, the setters are still struggling to be consistent, and their 6-9 big girl did nothing, she's dominated Nebraska the last three times she played against Nebraska, she was an absolute no-show. Devin Robinson, Caroline Crawford and Danielle Hart carried the team. Franklin for all her power jams, made some very low level mistakes and had several bouts of bad passing, she was a neutral party in this match. If Orzol was having a usual 2022 night and Smrek actually hit the ball in (Still think she belongs full time in the middle) Nebraska would of been swept far worse.
Wisconsin is slowly peaking. You'll see in about a month in Lincoln. Run-tell-that! If Wisconsin beats Minnesota handily on Saturday night, I think they are on their way. The win at Purdue was a big indicator, and truly watching that match live, the entire team was playing at a high caliber/championship level, led by Orzol, displaying her leadership on the court and swinging away at the ball like someone talked about her mama.
As for Nebraska, how about the man at the top stops pouting and sitting on his hands because his team is not doing well. He has a very defeatist approach, and apparently sucks the life from his squad/assistants. He gave up in that second set, and only saved face when his team went on that late 9/10 point run, until then, he had given up!
Nebraska is too talented and has lots of experience to lose these type of matches. Hord is a huge disappointment - she was a complete no-show yesterday! Allick was great! Rodriguez was not her usual defensive digging machine, she just played okay. Kennedy Orr is over the program and done with Cook, she has her eyes on that portal. Maybe she didn't live up to her hype?? I'm not sure if the game is too fast for her or if she's seriously injured? Seems like a nice kid, sadly, its evident Cook has no confidence in her ability to lead this season.
Ohio State can win the whole damn thing this year -- it's that type of season! I still have them as my dark horse come December.
The Texas All Stars will not win this year -- write it down, take a picture, send it via pony express.... I see the wheels slowly coming off and MRBF (Mr. Resting Bitch face) doesn't know what to do or how to handle the cast of greats. Project let's purchase a championship team with a bunch of all stars falls flat on its face. And I'm here for it.
xoxo,
Diva

Anyone have links to post match interviews? I haven’t been able to find them yet.
