Who is calling these camera angles? I wonder if the main camera had a technical issue, it felt like they were avoiding the normal from-the-side high view.

Gophs lose but it was expected as Wisc is on a roll. MN positives... 1. Very good blocking 2. The middle play 3. I feel good with Davis and Booth as starters with Gros on ready reserve 4. Shaff had some excellent moments 5. McWu...cannon! 6. Kilkelly had some great digs early on 7. Great hustle and fight WI is a better coached team but MN showed heart

Not sure what you mean by that. The only real difference it would make is quicker reviews. Is that your point? Casual viewership for college volleyball is going to grow because the sport itself is compelling to watch. I don't think challenge technology is going to impact that all that much. 2 3 & 4 minute pauses in the action are not conducive to keeping casual viewers from channel switching.[/quote Explain football then.

then for the Badgers: v. Rutgers (FRI 11.11 at 8PM ET) v. Maryland (SAT 11.12 at 8PM ET) @ Rutgers (FRI 11.18 at 7PM ET) @ (11) Penn State (SAT 11.19 at 8PM ET on BTN) @ (1) Nebraska (FRI 11.25 at 8PM ET on BTN) @ (6) Ohio State (SAT 11.26 at 7PM ET on BTN)

If Minnesota could serve receive they'd be a top three team. After Shaffmaster's frightening quality in the first set, she did a solid job. Middle connections were wonderful down the stretch. Still wonder if Crowl on the right might be better overall.
Landfair's occasional lack of interest in swinging is so perplexing. And maddening.

Remember, MN has a coach who very seldom makes changes no matter how a player is playing. The good news is you get somebody different to criticize real soon. Criticize or fact?

I’m just gonna go ahead and pretend that 3rd set didn’t happen. What a big old deuce we dropped, in an otherwise great match. This is the second straight match that would have been an L without a key transfer. Thank you for coming to Wisconsin, Shanel!
That said… after seeing Devyn erupt in the 4th set, how much of the Izzy/MJ debate about who gets to set Robinson? I know they swapped OPP’s mid-match at one point early in the year, but it seems like they’ve settled on Smrek with MJ.

You got me. But I know my statement is factual. Sad part is when he does make a change, they tend to work. Crowl for Wenaas vs. Purdue Davis for Gros tonight I would have liked to see Crowl in tonight for a change of pace. And, I would line to see Landfair out if the backrow and serve receive.

Cannot say for sure....But I wonder if Hugh was counting on Glenn not transferring Although she is an OH, I think we might have seen more of her in the DS role this season had she stayed. However, I don't blame her for transferring. As much as Kilkelly is struggling this season, Hugh just doesn't utilize the only other DS on the bench, Gray, unless he absolutely has to. With all this said and Hugh's MO, more than likely Landfair still would have been a 6R OH this season.

Wucherer is so impressive. Minnesota has a high ceiling. Set twice on match point and just launched cannonballs on both attempts, but the Badgers got hands on both. Thank the universe. 😬

Hats off to Shanel. Nineteen digs over 4 sets is decent, and she passed well.
