I know it's early and a small sample size, but..... Morgan Beck is hitting .385. Woo-hoo!!!!! But that match was against UC Davis, a Div-2 team!

May be this is little bit off topic but I'm still wondering about PSU blocking in this game......having in mind they were not even close to these numbers in their previous 2 games?

I was thinking the same thing. They had only 7 total blocks vs Hawai'i. It must have been a lucky night for the Nittany Lions. Either that or USC isn't all that great, or maybe a little bit of both.

Also - UC Davis is in its second year at D-I, and is a provisional member of the Big West. Bringing stats posted against UC Davis was more or less a joke on my part www.bigwest.org/uc%5Fdavis/.

I was thinking the same thing. They had only 7 total blocks vs Hawai'i. It must have been a lucky night for the Nittany Lions. Either that or USC isn't all that great, or maybe a little bit of both. ... and 11 against Stanford in a 5 set game. We will know the reason in a couple of weeks.
