If Pepperdine loses this, can they still play themselves in with a win over BYU or San Diego (which probably won't happen but just a theoretical question)?

They don't look like a team that could go very far in the tournament. trojansc, is Pepperdine still safe assuming they lose tonight? (Down 8-13 in the fourth set, down 1-2) |

Pepperdine pulled Zelaya when down 8-15. Archer's first set went into the net. TO Pepperdine, down 8-16.

(Down 8-13 in the fourth set, down 1-2) I think Pep is OK as long as they beat Portland. LMU still has a shaky resume. If UCLA/San Jose State don't end up T50, and LMU doesn't beat BYU/San Diego, LMU is living and dying on the two Pepperdine wins. We'll see if that's good enough. The bubble looks to be a mess right now. Hopefully some teams play themselves out, and a team like Yale wins the Ivy League. Right now it is shaping up to be one of the toughest years in my memory for determining at-larges. Though sometimes thing settle themselves out. |
