Does anyone know what happened with Ahrens for her to be removed from the roster mid-season? It has to be more than just the injury, right?

LMU making lots of silly errors. They looked very unfocused towards the end of that set.

Nobody wanted to deal with the drive to Malibu on a Friday night. And the students had something better to do? I doubt much goes on at Pepperdine during the weekends anyways. Not sure how many stick around. |

The students at the catholic WCC schools are out partying hard on a Friday night. I'm not sure what goes on at the dry schools: Pepperdine and BYU. Still, disappointing home crowd for sure. |

LMU up 23-19. Pepperdine on a late run forcing LMU to take a time out.
Chillingworth (Pepp) leads all players with 10 kills, Geissberger (LMU) right behind with 9, Hellmuth (Pepp) with 8.
LMU takes the second set 25-20 to tie the match at 1-1

Veterans Day, so very possibly no class today. Long weekend means a lot of students may have gone home. I've heard LMU described as a "commuter school" with so many local students who go home on the weekend. Didn't really perceive Pepperdine that way. They are 50/50 in-state vs out-of-state. But it's more, that to do things on the weekend, you have to go away from campus (parties, bars, etc). Students that live off campus aren't necessarily in Malibu, mostly over the hill in Woodland Hills and/or Thousand Oaks (a lot in Thousand Oaks). It's a rather strange social dynamic on that campus. Most students likely got the heck off campus, especially if there were no classes today. |
