It would be nice if she and the Unabomber were in the same facility so they could watch the Big Game together.

She's not scheduled to start her time in prison until April (I guess because she is currently pregnant).
And I'm sure there will be many appeals. It may be a while before she actually steps through the gates of a prison.

It may be a while before she actually steps through the gates of a prison. With a 11+ year sentence I'd be surprised if she's free on appeal. I think it's more common for shorter sentences (i.e. it's kind of hard to undo it when the length of the appeal will be longer than the sentence), although those don't get appealed as often.

Hey, maybe somebody should design a lab-on-a-chip that can test for regret by sampling a few cells.

It would be nice if she and the Unabomber were in the same facility so they could watch the Big Game together. He was at FCI Dublin. But before he was moved to a federal hospital, he was at ADX Florence where every prisoner is in administrative detention. And I kind of question whether or not he'd be interested. Isn't he a Harvard grad?

Maybe she shouldn't have been running a scam company? Hey! First, they think you're crazy, then they fight you, and then all of a sudden, yeah they were right in the first place.

Can’t remember where I watched it-HBO Max maybe- but really interesting documentary on her. I think it is still on Hulu. The last scene in The Dropout has Holmes talking to her lawyer in the company HQ after it was completely cleaned out. It touches on a lot of the stuff in the post above that shows her young boyfriend, her dog, "having fun" (and literally getting pregnant so she would be pregnant during her trial). Not really a spoiler because everyone already knows what happens, but here is last scene. They did a good job showing her crazy. I read a comment that said they did such a good job with this series that the most unbelievable thing about it is that her Uber driver let her dog in the car at the end!

I think azvb is referring to the HBO documentary The Inventor.

I think azvb is referring to the HBO documentary The Inventor. Yes, this is the one I watched. Didn’t know about The Dropout. I’ll have to watch.

If only there were some famous phrase that could explain that even if you have good intentions, it doesn't mean you can break laws and hurt people trying to achieve them.
Something like "the road to hell is paved with good intentions", or maybe "the ends don't justify the means". Something like that.
