Packed house for Brazil's debut in the South American championship. A little bit of context: That is the poorest region of Brazil (the northeast), with not much tradition in volleyball (despite some great players like Jaque), and with no teams in the Women's Superliga. They had one in the Men's Superliga last season but it was relegated. This is an attempt to grow the sport throughout the country.  |

Also, sadly Yeysi Soto, the best central for me, has said good bye to the national team. |
