Since it was on my mind in the other thread (and with recently the VNL schedule has been released).. I looked at CAN/NED a bit closer. As far as schedule goes: Canada doesn't play: Poland, Turkey, Bulgaria Netherlands doesn't play: Thailand, Italy, Japan Advantage Canada on the schedule (imo). Right now, Canada would need to sweep Netherlands to overtake them. Canada-Netherlands is the second to last match of the VNL for both teams, with both teams having an easy match afterwards (France and Korea). I really hope it as close to a winner-take all match as possible. Netherlands was actually close to qualifying directly in the China 2023 Olympic Qualifiers. They needed to beat Dominican Republic 3-1 or 3-0, but they lost 2-3. idk if either of those teams should feel *completely* safe vs France. A good Giquel and a bad KVR/Insert Dutch pin here could make things interesting

I’ll be a NORCECA traitor for this but I’d rather the Netherlands make it than Canada… I just think they’re better and have more depth as of now

The Dutch have been great in the middle for years good, not great imo like the middles are probably their 'best' players but it's not like any of them are prime De Kruijf out there

I don’t think Koslowski is necessarily better as a coach, but his demeanor meshes better with this iteration of players.

This was at the OQT: Lohuis and Baijens had 13 and 18 points Canada's White and Maglio had 6 and 12 points Gray led everyone. I think the Dutch are not only deeper, but I think their ceiling is higher than Canada's. But I'm still #TeamWinzer

China released their 22 women training roster for 2024 and Zhu Ting is not in the list. Zhang Changning is back although I'm not sure why because she is still in terrible shape and just coming back from injury/married life and barely played for her team. Cai Bin is still the head coach.
