There's no reason one of Italy's middles can't be better at Opposite than anyone they actually have there (except Egonu obviously.)
I'd rather watch Sorokaite play opp at this point.
I'm pro-Lubian-to-opposite.
It's just gross that two of Chirichella, Fahr, Danesi, and Lubian will sit on the bench while Nwakalor is on court.

my thoughts for the friendly  For Italy Bosio did a great job. I thought she set the middles really well, and did a nice job of setting overall. Fresno played great, and was steady the entire match. Danesi was of course, calm, cool, and collected like she always is. Italy could be scary at Euros/OQTs towards the end of the summer when they get Paola and maybe Antropova on the team again with this steady setting. Villani was great on the OH with her all around play. Nwakalor. For Croatia A pretty good effort from them considering this lineup was mainly all backups. No Fabris, no Butigan, no Mlinar, no Milos, no Samadan, no Cvetnic. A lot of the players today had some bright moments though. Strunjak had some great blocks but was basically nonexistent offensively. I thought Mihaljevic and Markovic had some nice moments offensively. I was really impressed with the young Viktoria Ana Trcol. She's gonna be really good. Lea Deak was alright. I thought she could've set the middle more. She set the right side a lot today, which is guess is preparation for when Fabris joins the team. I really think they should've called Klara Peric. None of the setters they have right now can set the middle like her imo. |

I did not like Deak at all.
lowkey wouldn’t be the worst idea for Italy to use a middle on the right lol. DS them with Fersino and her+MDG will keep them in system the whole time.
