This was my first interaction with the volleyball community and it was a really educational and entertaining experience! A lot of study and of work that translated in a much better knowledge of all the great teams and players that are part of the men volleyball realm. Congrats to the Dude for the amazing run and thanks to After Dawn for organizing and running the league. To keep the fun going it would be great to open a discussion about what was great and what could be considered as possible variations for next year, I'm sure many of us have some ideas to bring to the table

To keep the fun going it would be great to open a discussion about what was great and what could be considered as possible variations for next year, I'm sure many of us have some ideas to bring to the table What did you like about this year's version and what are some possible suggestions for next year? These are some ideas that came up over the course of the season: S: 2 OH/OPP: 3 MB: 2 L: 1 ANY: 2 (Less predictable lineups) Seven to eight add drops (12-13 team roster) Sub one player out for another (no one wants to see someone lose because of an undisclosed injury, sickness, etc.) Free add/drop if a player leaves the team/removed from the roster/academically ineligible/gone pro. At least one freshman/redshirt freshman must be drafted and active on your roster. CC/NEC - At least one athlete must be from this conference. Back to Head-to-head Fantasy League (10-12 participants) Playoffs: Double elimination or No Playoffs Totals: Preferably since everyone has an idea of what to expect now.

I indeed liked most of it, except the total point approach. Here are my thoughts: Matches: I was initially in favor of each player playing another player every week but after the playoffs I realized that yes, it is much more fun, but it also requires a lot of work and time…. As long as we have the playoff at the end, the all play league format is fine, it was good fun indeed. Roster - ok 12 players Line up: - 7 + 5 substitutions. The 5 subs (2 pins, 1 setter, 1 middle, 1 libero will be counted in the scores if one or more starters don’t play the entire match). This could also reduce the work of tracking down the points... Score - Points should be averaged per set. I think this is very important to reflect the real strength of the players. It doesn't feel right when a great performance of a player that helps his team win 3-0 ends up with less fantasy points than a good performance of a player whose team loses 3-2 - Possible additional category for real wins (a player on the line up gets a point if his team wins the match) to reinforce the point made above - Aces: it would be great if there was a way to reward the players who make aces but even more the ones who make aces with few errors. Add/drop: 6 ok as long as players that are removed from the roster for the rest of the season would grant additional free add/drops Playoff: yes, same as this year Conferences: ok with adding NEC I like the addition of the freshmen. by "active" on the roster you mean included in the line up?
