Does anyone know what's happening in Reno? How did UCLA do and who are they playing? Interested to know who is playing in what positions.

I guess UCLA downed USD in 4. 24-30, 32-30, 30-21, 30-27. Looks like the Bruins have had various players able to step up their play while others slumped. They should be an interesting team. Young but pretty talented.

This season is going to kill me. Nevada had FIVE matchs points and lost! Wow, that is tough. Just saw the box score play by play. To be up 14-9, only to lose the next 7 points, wow, that's rough.

This season is going to kill me. Nevada had FIVE matchs points and lost! That says a lot about Nevada AND UCLA (or, as I like to call them, UKLA, phonetically speaking, as in Kukla, Fran, and Ollie...). Either Nevada has gotten better or UCLA has gotten worse, or we could just negotiate and reach a happy medium. Although I think Nevada lost to some crappy team, didn't they, just a few days ago? If UCLA went through that many match points, they can't be that bad. But then, why'd they put themselves in that position. Oh, yeah, Nevada put them in that position. Blah blah blah...

I believe UCLA started three freshmen, Spicer and Sather then Socci and Smith traded duties as libero. This team is young…I am not sure how anyone can make any determinations about any team after there first pre-season matches. I agree, UCLA should have never gone to a 5th game against Nevada however this young team did show character and heart in the 5th game with the transfer Schoen serving 6 straight points on a hostile court to win the match. This weekend will be a bigger challenge and test in Hawaii, if the young players settle down and get confident in the collegiate environment this team will be very good, they certainly have the talent to be successful.
