I officially have zero interest in the remainder of the tournament.
My fave team has lost, which wasn't really a surprise (though the nature of the loss kind of was)
but the few other teams that I had secondary interest in are out too.
bleh.

Of the top 16 seeds, so far 14 have won, and Oregon is up two-to-one in sets. Only Creighton lost. It looks like we'll have three regionals of 1-2-3-4 seeds, and one of 1-2-3-5 seeds.

just to echo a sentiment that avid has said countless times: volleyball would be much more popular if it was given proper infrastructure to grow... georgiades' save in the 1st round has 23 million views (!) on tiktok between two videos, 1 million likes on instagram, and 8 million views on twitter. interest is clearly there but...  |

(given the amount of views on videos of buffalo bills fans launching themselves into tables, and it being a standard pro-"wrestling" gimmick also supports this conclusion) |

interest is clearly there but... so you're saying that there should be more tables set up around the court for players to crash into, since that is what draws the interest of the standard internet viewer? ...no... lol all im saying is that the reason why that clip got viral is because volleyball is exciting (and fun!) to watch, and if there were more resources put into it then it could earn a profit! there was a long rally between two turkish teams that also went viral a couple months back. and fabi's kick save at the london 2012 olympics goes viral like every month |
