only coaches and other staff members have access to it Yeah, not too long ago the NCAA felt too many reporters had access to the portal, so now the coaches have to verify their e-mail every 7 days... and when Michigan's backup QB hit the portal this morning every reporter still had it before 80% of the football coaches did. Next year maybe it will be retinal scans or something, but they are definitely trying to keep it private. They don't have MFA for verification? just an email? |

basically any senior that has a year left that was honored at their senior night can be assumed to be in the portal I need some setters to enter the portal I wouldn't say this is for sure true. Purdue, for example, has honored seniors on their true senior year and if they come back for a Covid year (which many have), they just don't get honored during their Covid year. Hames at Nebraska was honored last year too. Some kids don't decide by senior night, they decide when the season ends. |

Hames was an unique situation a bit because she was supposed to be “moving on” from her role with the team to a “less important” one while she transitions into coaching, but obviously that’s uhh not what happened. |

yeah you’re right overall. I think somebody told me she was going to be a GA next year? But you're right, starting setter was not the plan for this year, just a DS i believe (which made sense with Akana's departure and Nebraska playing them for 2 of 3 pins last year). correct, that’s why I believe she was honored last season as her role this year was NOT anticipated lmao |
