Penn State Assistant Coach is now following my girl Jenna Wenaas...and she just posted a thank you for the three years to the other coaches so I am thinking she is out.  PSU could use a left side out of the portal, and she would probably get to play 6ro's and be the go-to player, plus she can pass and be at least more consistent than Kash, and could still play in the B1G? Penn St is following quite a few pins in the portal. Will be interesting to see who they get. |

The Ohio State seniors want to play a fifth year and would go somewhere else if OSU would not or could not pay for that year. My guess is that OSU only has 10/12 scholarships allocated for next year. This is assuming all hitters and setters are on scholarship and only Sydney Taylor as a bigger recruit at DS on scholarship. I remember a video of Morbitzer getting a scholarship last year but most of those walk on scholarship offers are for that year because the team has an extra one for that year (probably from Davis leaving and failing to get a big transfer). This would leave 2 available scholarships that if Murr or Podraza wanted to come back would almost certainly be there for them. I hope that I am wrong, but my guess based on quotes from players and how senior night was/reactions by the girls is that it is not likely that they're returning to OSU. My order for most likely to return: 1. Murr 2. Moore 3. Podraza 4. IIRC, wasn't Hugh heavy (some may say underhanded) in her decision to decommit from A&M and go to Minnesota in the first place? I think she wanted to play for HIM, she didn't have any sort of affinity for the school. |

OSU roster this year was 16, 7 were honored on senior night and I think 3 of their DS are probably not on guaranteed scholarships (Morbitzer was this year, but I'm assuming it was a 1 year offer because they had one available). That means 6 returning on scholarship and 4 incoming on scholarship based on my assumptions about who is on scholarship. |

So is it confirmed Podraza, Gonzalez, and Murr are all in the portal?
If so that’s devastating for Ohio State. But great opportunities for other schools to improve their teams significantly.
