Kansas going with Katie Dalton as a DS for Szabo on the backrow. Not using her in serve return - but plays that setter defensive position on the backrow. This is relatively new for them. Not sure if they are using her to set when Turner makes first contact - never really came up in set 1. Looks like she is an effective server - despite 2 service errors in the 1st set. Using her kind of surprises, me - but it does make for easy transition to a 6-2 later in the set if needed.

Elnady's serve has won some sets for KU this year. She has also been subbed out for a server on occasions. Just goes to show how she can be a hit or miss on any given night. Looks like tonight is a hit for her.

Full circle moment for Szabo having her (likely) last match in the Devaney Yeah, I hope she has a great match! She's looked good so far that I've seen.
I came in during the first time out, and had a moment of cognitive dissonance when I saw the Husker Taraflex--then realized they were in the Nebraska first round hosting.
