Florida State is making their 24th NCAA tournament appearance and 2nd consecutive. The Seminoles are 75-80 (.484) in sets played, reaching the Final Four in 2011; the Elite Eight in 2009; 3 Sweet Sixteens (2013, 2014, 2016).
Northern Iowa is making their 25th NCAA tournament appearance and 2nd consecutive. The Panthers are 60-81 (.426) in sets played, reaching the Sweet Sixteen 3 times (1999, 2001, 2002).

kind of funny that FSU got a 7 seed lol it's a REGIONAL seed, meaning that they are in the 25-28 range overall. This is the equivalent of a 7v10 matchup in basketball seeding. and an "upset" isn't that unusual in those games. Of course, it isn't over yet |
