So apparently it was a blown call (didn’t see it since I was at another game in person) but I don’t entirely understand why blown calls during the tourney are attributed to “home cooking.” Aren’t the refs paid by the NCAA or a third conference? I seem to recall hearing that if big 10 and big 12 teams were playing that the refs would be paid for by like, the SEC or something.

Regarding the possible antenna point at 23-23 in Set 4: The ESPN+ broadcast never showed a halfway decent camera angle. From the Volleymetrics camera, I would say inconclusive. The line judge on that side had a pretty good angle and seemed to be looking at the right stuff. Tough to say for certain.

I mean, bad calls do happen and are part of the game. At some point you have to shrug them off and move on. But arguing that there’s some kind of moral imperative to respect the refs’ call and move on or else the social contract will collapse is a little… |

Again congratulations to Kansas, they deserve a huge amount of credit, it’s always good to see these teams that you don’t get an opportunity to watch. The big 12 can hold their own.

Made it home. Started reading some of the aftermath here. Stopped doing that.
Major props to KU for adjusting, settling in, and playing a great match. The Jayhawk fan contingent was the best we've had at a Devaney tournament match in quite a while. The two Missouri years are not even comparable.

It is a clear antenae hit on VM if you go frame by frame using "x" and "v" keys for slow motion. You can see it hit antenae and it clearly moves. |
