In the words of crooked, “what difference would it make?” The match is over, the scorebook has been signed, it’s over. Move on. Nebraska tried to install better cameras three years ago but the B1G and NCAA denied their request. If the call was missed, it wasn’t the first and it won’t be the last; move on and push for better cameras. Nebraska has bigger problems to deal with. Someone in this program should ask themselves why a setter who has played ten sets in 2 national championship matches has regressed so far this season; and why another setter who was heralded as the next great national team setter after she took the U18 team to a world championship in 2019 is barely able to set a legal ball. In at least 22 matches so far this season, Nebraska has been outplayed at the setter position. I believe there is only one team in the B1G that Nebraska can say they are better at at the setting position. This is a place that that has a legacy of creating elite setters, but something has gone askew. When this season ends next Thursday or Friday for Nebraska, some self reflection should take place. This season could not have been botched any more than it has been. We’ll see how it goes. . . I hope real changes are made. out of curiousity, why did or would the B1G and the NCAA deny a request for them to install better cameras?

Both setters are coming back from injury (Acl and Back) and it’s pretty clear it’s affected both of their movement (and jumping ability in Nicklins case) It’s unfortunate. But it can’t magically be solved in a snap, if even ever. Cook said last night this is probably the healthiest Nicklin's been all season.

The camera request was denied because if everyone can’t have it no one can. Nebraska was willing to spend the $$$$ but since all schools are not the NCAA said “no” in the interest of equality. No home court advantage per se.

I do truly question the quality of setting coaching Nebraska has. Cook used to coach the setters. Not sure if he's still doing it or if that's Kelly, whose teaching chops might not have been proven. If Cook does shake up his assistants - or if there are voluntary departures - the program would be best served by going out and finding the best setting coach in the country.

If Cook does shake up his assistants - or if there are voluntary departures *mandatory Yes, that's what "shake up his staff" means.

well if the antenna hit was overturned it would've been set point Kansas, and the subsequent block would've sent it 5.. not word what could have happened there but Kansas was denied the opportunity by a bad call omg, this is driving me crazy. the subsequent block DOESN'T EXIST if the call is overturned. Maybe Kansas gets a different block anyways, maybe they kill a ball in transition, maybe they ace Nebraska on their serve...those are unknowns. Indeed. It is always amusing to me that people seem to assume that EVERY SINGLE THING would have happened in the EXACT SAME WAY in these situations. Common example: Baseball game, tie score, Aaron Judge on first, tries to steal second but is thrown out. Next pitch: batter hits a home run. Announcer: golly, if Judge hadn't have been caught stealing the Yankees would now be up by 2 runs!

You, it, other, someone... Take your pick. What does it matter? In the past when referring to me in a post you used she when my profile says male. When someone is as oblivious to the facts as you are I wouldn't think you'd be all that concerned. 🤣 Well listen, you keep fighting the fight. Because this is crucial to life as we know it. Well none of this stuff is super important in the grand scheme of things TBH.

That one shouldn't disappear. And for what it's worth, that's a pretty good angle and I see no evidence that it hit the antenna. Thanks to n00b for this vid. Bummer that the NCAA has handcuffed the broadcasters to show only the the 1 view replay in the first 2 rounds of the tourney. I kept waiting to see the netcam view that the down ref had access to in the broadcast, but to no avail. The down ref did tell Ray that the ball didn't hit the antenna after his decision, too which the netcam view would have clearly shown. So, now the refs no-call makes sense.

Someone in this program should ask themselves why a setter who has played ten sets in 2 national championship matches has regressed so far this season... Isn't she playing concussed? And earlier this season I remember her back (?) hurting so badly that she had to take herself off of the court visibly crying in pain. Not saying y'all don't have some work to do with setter development, but for Hames at least it seems like more work should be done with PT and injury prevention
