 That one shouldn't disappear. And for what it's worth, that's a pretty good angle and I see no evidence that it hit the antenna. was this the only angle they had? |

Unless you have the corresponding view down the length of the net, you can't tell what happens after it comes off the net. It could bounce up and away from everything, ie. no touch of the antenna. Or it could come up from the net, contact the antenna and then fall away. Come on. That zoom is pretty darn revealing. You can see the ball hit the net then go behind the antenna, not touching it. The antenna shakes because the ball hit the net. I thought you said you were leaving, like, an hour ago... |

I thought you said you were leaving, like, an hour ago... Just pointing out that it’s looking more and more like the referee was totally correct. If not correct at least inconclusive. So I am thrilled to hang around. |

See, to me this is serious. If we are going to have a review system, and then let people at home see the event more clearly than the refs at the match, what is the point? We are talking about breaking viewership and attendance records. This needs to get fixed before everyone thinks it's just a scam. And the 2020 election was stolen, lol. not the point, if you want to increase viewership and if nothing else, make sure the audience doesn't feel the game is rigged, then you need better cameras, better angles, better resolution and better frame speed.
You provide excellent replays so the audience can clearly get into the match better. Showing %*$#ty touch/no-touch, ball in/out, then it just looks like the broadcasters (meaning the schools, espn, etc.. not the play by play announcers) just don't care and as thus why should the viewing audience, esp for those that are tuning in for their team in the tournament and/or a 1st time viewer.
Just as an example, the review that everyone is looking at in the last couple of pages, honestly is kind of inconclusive, but if you block the viewer from seeing while watching the match, and apparently limit the tv crew to 1 regular speed view on a replay (which if true is assinine, and further, most matches are just plain ignoring it). If you're able to air it, then at least the audience can be more engaged. Doing what was done, is just bad form.
Personally, I've said it numerous threads for a few years, that if you'er going to have %*$#ty cameras, then they need to go to a more professional replay, meaning 2 or 3 PER SET, not 3 total for a match, even if you keep it. It's just asking for like what happened to UWash last year when a blatant net wasn't called, also in an insanely crucial point of the match. And we saw that in regular speed, slow motion in like 7 different angles.

If you freeze this frame by frame it indeed does hit the antenna. Without going frame by frame it gives the allusion of not striking it.
By the frames it is simultaneous and yes indisputable evidence.
