What’s going on in Happy Valley that the attendance looks so low? I was highly disappointed to see that...just a terrible turnout. The Top 10 men's ice hockey team had a match last night and tonight against Ohio State, drawing about 6,400 fans each night...tonight's match was at 5:30, which is enough of an overlap. Need better coordination and promotion from the athletic department. What a shame. 1. The empty seats on screen appeared to be the designated UCF section. 2. That said, PSU does a solid job marketing regular season games. For some reason, they flip the switch off for NCAA tourney games. I don’t get it… It’s like they think everyone will just understand. The same thing happened in 2014 for WBB (the last time they made the tourney). Regular season games were well attended and then the NCAA games were dead. Bizarre.

Not sure who to cheer for here... I like the 2022 version of Penn State. Then again, UCF has Melville and Zumach. Rock on Minnesota! Dresden Pass is also from MN.

That gets you out of having to play a #1 seed in the second round. This year's team demonstrably outperformed last year's team. And they benefitted from their performance in terms of who they played in the first weekend.

BUT if we seeded this years tournament like last years PSU would’ve been a 5/6 seed not a regionally allocated team to Pitt. They very easily could have upset someone else into the Sweet 16 if they hadn’t had to play Pitt. I also agree with you that this year’s team earned a seed and last year’s team did not
