Nebraska is clearly the better team EXCEPT (and it is a big EXCEPT) they just lost one of the best defensive players in the country. Losing a player of this quality this late in the season and on a team that relies on their backrow defense might be too much for Nebraska to overcome. (Not to mention the health of Hames).
Nebraska is still more talented but it will come down to how good Nebraska's setters play.
People are counting Nebraska's hitters out. Just remember these are the same hitters that we lost a National Championship (25-22, 29-31, 23-25, 25-23, 12-15) with last year.
It's all about the setters.

Nebraska is clearly the better team EXCEPT (and it is a big EXCEPT) they just lost one of the best defensive players in the country. Losing a player of this quality this late in the season and on a team that relies on their backrow defense might be too much for Nebraska to overcome. (Not to mention the health of Hames). Nebraska is still more talented but it will come down to how good Nebraska's setters play. People are counting Nebraska's hitters out. Just remember these are the same hitters that we lost a National Championship (25-22, 29-31, 23-25, 25-23, 12-15) with last year. It's all about the setters. Oregon has better players at like half the positions but okay |

Ok, guys, I'm going to need someone to make some derogatory statements against Texas' coaching here. Texas fans will come to defend themselves and then start bickering with the Husker homers. I mean... maybe. as a roster definitely but the players on the floor are what matters oregon has the better 6-ro OH duo and the better setter. Nebraska is stronger in the middle and libero, but Murphy is still really good. the gap between her and Lexi is much smaller than pukis and the Nebraska setters each team has about 4 players that would see the court at the other school |

The Nebraska middles are better at hitting than blocking too so not seeing sets is even bigger. |

Easy shot to take I know but it’s like mind blowing Nebraska: y’all are the biggest scandal since watergate and it seems like every week something new comes out. Also it’s bs you didn’t go 5 with freaking Kansas lmao. Enough said. Hawaii: it’s like actually sad to watch y’all act like you’re relevant when my mom wasn’t alive the last time y’all won a title. Those hitters hit .193 in the tournament last year.
I have so much respect for Nebraska's run last year -- it was a masterclass of serve and pass -- but it wasn't because of their pins.

I have put less and less stock into Prep Volleyballs senior ace list every year. 10 years ago it was legitimate. These days it seems like a Nebraska, Texas, Wisconsin, Florida offer moves you up the list drastically. Shouldn’t it be Robinson who is the talk and hype of Oregon this year and not Brooke or was she the year before Brooke? |
