Nebraska has made the Elite 8 (regional final) or further every year since 2013. I hope we can put together a strong match to keep that streak alive. this. And more. Btw, really like your new avatar. K2 came so very far from being unsure she would even play college ball. Have to think the way jc treated her was a big part of that. Certainly the hug she gave him that night spoke to it.

Not a fan of making a west coast team take the early game slot but it is what it is. Oregon wins this match. Nebraska does not have the firepower to continuously put balls away on Oregons defense.

I actually have no gut feeling on this, could make strong cases either way. I do know that Nebraskas hitters need to step it up and we need to feed middles (well) often! Setting will be important too for the Huskers - Oregon block just took over that 4th set vs Arkansas. Obviously anything and everything is important haha. Can’t wait to watch!

I do know it will be an expensive weekend for the fans of whoever advances to Saturday. Most likely will have to pay for 3 if not 4 nights in a hotel lol. And flights for Oregon fans Yikes!

Better that than the consecutive days the regional matches used to be played in. I look forward to when they're able to afford to change that in the first two rounds.

This should be an interesting match. I've only seen Oregon play once since preseason, and they had some trouble with Arkansas. The huskers are more solid than Arkansas defensively, but they have lost knuckles. I'm not sure which way this goes.

I saw the Ducks hit .614 in the fourth set against Arkansas, and word on the match thread was they were blocking like the Pipeline. Huskers better bring their A game! Hope everyone’s healthy. 🤞

But how is that the narrative when Nebraska struggled more with Kansas (a weaker team), and we didn't get Delaware St. as a virtual BYE?

I was going to complain about a 10:00 a.m. match start...then I realized that's 8:00 a.m. for Oregon. Ouch. Now because the match is so early I can't even take a 1/2 day, I have to fake sickness now. Or I suppose I could just not watch. Schedule a “doctor appointment” at 10:00 a.m.

I still believe in some (little) improvements to emerge for the adjusted lineup + Nicklin got one more week of rest. It won't be pretty volleyball given the timeslot but Nebraska should be able to handle this. GBR

Ducks had some trouble at the beginning yesterday with Arkansas, but I think some of it was exhaustion from playing less than 24 hours before. They looked a little off and tired even in warmups and definitely started off sluggishly. Even when Arkansas put up a solid block in front of Brooke and Mimi, they found ways to score (mainly tips/back row) until they got back into more of a rhythm.
I think Oregon has a good chance against Nebraska. I hope the early morning match doesn’t mean a sluggish start, but Ducks have a lot of practice coming back from being behind, so I wouldn’t count them out if they do start slow. Defensively Oregon blocks and picks up a lot of balls, and combined with offense from Brooke and Mimi I think they can be an outstanding team. I can’t wait to watch. SCO Ducks!

I think Oregon matches up well against Nebraska. However, Nebraska isn’t going to go down easily in the tournament no matter what but I think Brooke and co can get it done. The reason I like the match up is Oregon doesn’t really have any bad scoring rotations to side out in because they have 2 elite outside terminators. Nebraska can easily go on runs against hood teams that have a couple tough rotations because their serve block and defense game can help their pins eventually terminate but Oregon is one of the few teams that has 6 rotations of outside pain and a great opposite. Predicting 3-1 Oregon but like also maybe they come out flat and get swept ! Ya never know lmfao What's a "hood team?"

SCO Ducks! well, for what it’s worth, the Huskers have a tendency to start slow too
