It's easy to second guess after the fact, but Cook's stated reason for putting Boesiger in to serve for Allick with his final sub of the 4th set doesn't really make sense. It was a deuce set at that point and sure, Allick has been an erratic server this season, but at worst she misses her serve and you're facing set point. If so, Rodriguez comes back into the back row and you have Allick available to come back into the front row later, rather than having the 5"6' Boesiger up there. IMO it wasn't a gamble worth taking. Maybe. Things like going for 2 and going for it on 4th down aggressively were seen as dumb in the NFL until analytics blew up. It didn't work out this time, but I'd think your server at 26-25 returning to the front row happens pretty infrequently. |

Just finishing up the game here. Congrats to Oregon! Love the scrappiness of your team.
Also great season to Nebraska. Despite all of the ups and downs, they should be able grow from this. Thank you Kenzie, Madi, and Kaitlyn. You guys are what Husker volleyball is all about, and we couldn’t be more proud of you girls. Truly amazing humans. All the love.

They lost on their home court because they played well enough in the regular season to earn the privilege of hosting 2. Okay, so? Doesn’t justify completely classless behaviour towards a group of very young women from a bunch of nonparticipants I very clearly remember my dad talking about how classy the Nebraska fanbase was when I was a kid and they were in the Big 12. Sucks you don’t live up to that description |

Which is fine, it's sports, this doesn't meet Nebraska's expectations and some fans of other programs will rub it in. I'm simply countering that it's less of an own when that poster's team literally lost at the same phase of the tournament |

Especially in their faces as their seniors have to say goodbye to collegiate volleyball. If he meant “laughing” figuratively on volleytalk, then fine. That’s almost the whole point of this board. If Nebraska fans were actually mocking the players in person, I can’t express my disguise strongly enough |
