Last minute decision to attend, hadn't even occurred to me that this would also be my 1st USA vb event...I've traveled to NCAA regionals and FFs but only got as close to the national team as the 2008 women's Olympic team exhibition in Berkeley before they went off to compete in China....so yes, I'm excited! Any locals have any recommendations in terms of places to eat in Arlington? There’s Babe’s Chicken close by as well. For something unique: Prince Lebanese Grill A Taste of Europe There’s plenty in the area. Do you have specific cuisine in mind? |

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm from San Jose, CA, so we have a lot of variety, esp in terms of ethnic food. Looking for something good that's local. I think I'm going to hit up Hurtado's, I want to sample a few of their smaller items, but they close at 5pm!!??

Not sure about Hurtado, but a lot of BBQ places make a certain amount of meat each day and close when they sell out. So maybe that's why it closes so early |

They're selling the court side tickets now... $138 if you want to be hit by a ball lol We sat courtside for Men's USA vs Argentina game, my friend did get hit on the face while the argentina players were peppering lol his reflex is not up to par anymore |

I seriously have a cooler of ice and one of those cooling towels I use for hot volleyball tournaments, in my car, in case I get stuck in traffic with no AC. |

There are already a lot more people here for the 1st match than I thought there would be. Also, they do have wine for those who are so inclined.

Attended before this VNL. Just thrilled it’ll be in a better setting than last year. The food in Louisiana is delicious, though. Bigotry, racism and homophobia are some of the best spices. Just ask Chick-fil-A Uhm. I really meant food. Not starting anything. |
