It’s not out of the question. Just more familiarity with Japan/China and more likely to actually play, train and improve. Brazil might be too much of a vacation. Who do they play with on these trips? National team members from the respective country or? I believe it’s pro teams. But not certain.

I just looked at Beason’s Twitter and her bio says “Husker Volley #13.” Don’t know if I should read into that as Whitney leaving being confirmed or if she just put that because that was her number at Florida

someone else said that was retracted after Jaylen visited and it was/could be a safety concern. Thats too bad. What’s the different style of play from Brazil to Japan/China? I’m very curious bc i’m not caught up with international play Japan and China are harder, they'd play older players...(or at the minimum, very organized teams) and they're stylistically different. Japan is smaller, but they're fast. China may not play like Japan, but they're big (sometimes lol) and often provide tough teams to play against. Georgia Tech is the only team that I know played in Brazil and they played younger teams... which isnt always great.

National team members from the respective country or? It depends on the exact timing. All women's V-league teams traditionally participate in a tournament after the season, and that usually takes place sometime in late March, early April. Covid caused it's cancellation last year, but I think it's planned for this year. The NT players will likely be playing with their pro club. But Japan has a lot of high level high school-age teams, and many colleges compete against those while there. Matches against pro or some component of the NT is possible, it probably depends on where the team will travel (NT practice facility is in Tokyo) and if Nebraska has any good connections.

Who needs another snide comment about Husker VB from a troll? lol I think you do. Cook hasn't remained relevant because he's dumb. He's been able to see what's coming around the corner before--the writing on the wall, if you will-- and he's going to adapt. If that means following the Texas model of poaching every good transfer, and foregoing loyalty to his players, that's exactly what he's going to do. Or, he'll just decide to walk away. Texas didn't invent the model. They had to do it because they lost so many players. Nebraska has attracted 1 or 2 quality transfers from time to time for 15-20 years? It is not foregoing loyalty to players. Cook tells every recruit that part of his job as coach is to find someone better than them. It is their job to prove that they are better. You act like you have never played competitive sports. From Little League thru college, what good team have you ever played on that didn't change from year to year as backups became better and new players made the team. When somebody beat you out of a position did you go crying to whomever would listen that the coach was disloyal? I truly doubt that you know what Cook will do or when he will walk away. lol

That was before the existence of the transfer portal, and the immediate eligibility, but you can start there to understand how Cook's philosophy has evolved.

Kelsey Robinson predated Holman. And Lauren Cook before her. And Sydney Anderson was even before that.

Why would you think that jwvolley sets the starting lineup or knows who is going to prevail in the gym? Can you chill? I posted a lineup that *I* would be interested in seeing, reserving the right to see how the players look come August of the 2023 season. Horns replied to *my* lineup, noting the absence of Ally, who took on a 6 rotation role as needed at the end of the 2022 season. Nobody claimed that I run Nebraska volleyball Horns commented about Ally's role based on your lineup being accurate. You never mentioned reserving rights come August. You stated your lineup, Horns made his snide comment, and I questioned the validity of your lineup. I sure didn't say that you ran Nebraska volleyball.

I also heard this on an interview It’s not out of the question. Just more familiarity with Japan/China and more likely to actually play, train and improve. Brazil might be too much of a vacation. Europe might be too much of a vacation, not Brazil.
