I understand everyone's sentiments about Ally (and I share them), but I think it's also fair to recognize that she's also had a FEW really good performances that has saved her team.

Cosigned. Great young woman, works hard, is a good teammate, but she isn't good enough to be a starter on a championship contender. A healthy Krause takes that spot and then Skyler Pierce will provide some great depth. In a world where other teams are gonna upgrade with the portal, I'm just not sure that's good enough for me anymore. Bring in a proven terminator and if Krause wants to play she knows what she has to do to win the spot. |

The two best programs right now in volleyball without a doubt played today. Not y’all’s day but Nebraska had a great season and their freshman class is special.

Well, we finally saw a team with 4 freshman starters and no seniors look like a very young team. It seemed like the moment was too big for them. No shame in that. I was unbelievably amped and I’m just watching TV.
Also, Krause’s injury finally came back to bite us bigly. The whole team struggled, but AB was really rough.

Just wasn't their day. For many, many games it was their day. Give all the credit to Texas. They exploited Nebraska's weakness over and over and over. Tough one to chew on all offseason long. Use it for motivation next season.
I turned it off during that O'Neal service run in the second. Took the dog for a long walk. I knew what was coming.

The last game sucked. Not really any other way to put it without using at least one expletive. However, if you had told me that this team was going to go 33-2 and finish with a Big Ten championship and as National Runner-Up, I would absolutely take that. I don't want the last game to color what this season was. It was great. Time to turn the page a look forward to next year. They'll be back and so will I. And those two losses were to a Final Four team and the National Champion. I'm liking our chances moving forward from this. |

I can see him training Caroline on the left in addition to the right too. However I think Krause has the potential with some time to recover. |

Okay I will say more bc I have a ton to say. But for now let me say a 33-2 season is an amazing feat. This is an amazing group of players and congrats to them on a great season. We have four freshmen regularly playing and we really just finished it on a really bad, sour note so I know I will come off as more negative than I should but:
1) Our offensive scheming and the style we play is no longer going to win. We play with this early 2000s tempo and only bring in a faster tempo on like random in system plays (mostly to ally). The game is becoming a game of faster, more explosive athletes and ultimately that what is going to take you to the top (especially if you have good defense to go with it)
2) Bouncing off on our offensive scheming, tempo, etc. We also need to be more aggressive as a whole. Step in for reception, go for it from the service line, aggressive swings oos, etc. I get that it’s something our staff is clearly not implementing/coaching, so hopefully they take this away from this showing. Gone are the days where soft rolls, or deep rolls shots will fall oos.
3) Utilize the portal if you have to. We are not winning a championship with an OH that is a .170ish career hitter. She’s stepped up in big moments (usually against undersized blocker) but I think our weaknesses in our OH2 has been exposed many times now.
And on one final note, let me say I will forever choose to be salty about these fifth year seniors. We are the one top program this year that hasn’t benefited from it, and now all of our FOURTH and FINAL year seniors have to face a whole new batch of fifth year seniors. To be clear, not hating on programs that are benefiting from it. But I am saying I am annoyed that we are not while the programs besting us are

Well, my heart is broken for the girls.. that’s gotta hurt. But I have zero doubt they won’t be coming back next season with some fire! No one expected this team to make it this far. I’m not sure what happened today and that’s probably what will hurt the most is knowing you didn’t play to your potential and lost as opposed to playing your best and getting beat. Was still an amazing season and the future is bright!
I am already getting super annoyed at posters saying Swindle is better than Bergen. Dont know a single of these girls personally and I’m over here in CA ready to fight the next person that entertains that nonsense.

Don’t understand how Texas took apart the two best teams in the Big Ten. They demolished the Badgers and Huskers.
