But like also why is it any less dignified to win the match because of serve/pass? That's why teams train it...sorta important. True that. Just passed poorly even for our standards. GG was terrible. Franklin disappeared. Those things usually don't happen on the same night. Congrats to Pitt. This is what I don't understand -- if Sheff is going to use a sub on Shanel Bramschreiber's serve, why not keep her in the back row for a few rotations? When you know your libero isn't an elite passer and you have a known quantity that can help with that, why sub her back out for someone who is an equally weak passer? I'd love the stats on how many kills Franklin gets out of the back row (especially on a bad pass) that would justify needing her back there instead of a DS that'll keep you in system.

they also won the match. Wisconsins volleyball season is over because Pitt just beat them. at home. Wisconsin does not have practice this week. Pitt does. OK. Go USD you're support of usd has zero effect on that match. the difference between us is, I won't be posting in the match thread about how mediocre usd is and that stanford should always beat them. because I understand that if a team is in the elite 8, they aren't mediocre

I’m so bummed. My heart hurts for these seniors.
Good game, Pitt. Y’all played lights out, and you kept everything off the floor. Solid execution. Good luck in Omaha.

PUT. SOME. RESPECT. ON. MY. PANTHERS. Ha I was wondering where you were! Do you not like posting during the match for superstition or for nerves? Both actually! I feel like I have to channel all of my energy towards the team and my nerves are shot

It made zero sense to bring Bramschreiber on the team, have her sit for a penalty, and then use her strictly as a serving sub. Not with her talent.

Wow, Wisconsin passing was atrocious.
Sheffield sat on his hands and watched this nightmare?! He has a former Big12 Libero of the Year and all American just sitting there, but his GG never once gets checked?! Pathetic.
Congrats Pitt.

After going to ff last year, a regional final prior. In what universe is Pitt “fine”?
