Idk if it was just me, but after rewatching the Regional Finals game against San Diego, the Stanford players looked emotion-less after they lost. Maybe they were shocked that they lost, or maybe I didn’t catch any tears from the players after the game, but I was expecting to see some of them in tears (and I don’t mean that in a bad way) just because of the circumstances, and it being a tough 5-setter. I only say that because I know I would be devastated in that situation. I was rewatching this earlier and that also stood out. I guess bc they had the momentum when they tied it st 9-9 but the shock could've been them realizing it just got away from them... that dig by Benbow on the rocket by Kipp at 10-9 changed the course of the match... also super random but the way Lukes physically assaulted Edwards at 12-9 after they roofed Kipp, had me thinking, why do players shove each other so hard, like is it to build momentum or what? I find it so funny The shoves and chest bumps are hilarious. I’ve asked my daughter if it hurts because these are not weak girls. I’m also always a little scared when they pile on the court after a win.

Bairds facial expression hardly changes lol Sometimes all you need is that rush of adrenaline and emotion to get you fired up! I would like to see that from them in the future.

Don Shaw actively avoided coaching a team to be like that. So did John Dunning. They believed overly emotional teams peaked at the wrong time for the wrong reasons.
