Go Ducks!
I don't think they're going to win. Louisville is too tough. but the Cardinals better bring their A game, that's for sure. And Oregon will never think they're out of it until the final point is scored.

Louisville is the favorite, and I'm nervous about another slow Oregon start.
But these are not regular ducks, these are FIGHTING DUCKS.
I believe!

Likely Louisville in 3 or 4. But if Oregon can push it to 5 I give the edge to Oregon. Hopefully Brooke is feeling better because everyone in the gym knows that Mimi will be the focal point of Louisville's defense. Daley righted the ship after some rough patches but I bet she is targeted again on SR. Louisville has LETHAL outsides so I hope Lewis gets the start, and even though Matt pulled Colby in favor of Karson I hope she Colby gets the start again but I have a feeling that won't be the case. Oregon can make it interesting if they extend rallies and wear down Debeer. Also please for the love of God do not run our offense through the middles/oppo to start set 1... (Although I would like to see more middle action in transition after we establish our bread and butter: Mimi and Brooke.) I hope Lewis can stay consistent, her power has always been there, its always been the consistency and OOS sets that get her in trouble bc she isn't super dynamic, especially if the set is low or off, she had a tendency to get roofed but damn does she hit a heavy ball.
Hoping for another heart stopping match!

Asking for me to choose between these outside duos is like asking a mother to choose between her children.
Meaning I outwardly love them just the same but I’ll always have a slight preference for one…

Louisville is the favorite, and I'm nervous about another slow Oregon start. But these are not regular ducks, these are FIGHTING DUCKS. I believe! In the Neb/Ore thread, in those 1st 30 pages, was Nebraska fans basically saying we're gonna break the Ducks.
These Ducks DON'T BREAK!
Down 17-21 in the 4th and WON to push to 5.
Granted, (r2 bashing time) might not have had to go to 5 if we have at least 1 of the 2 really bad replays called correctly, esp that "non touch" by Nebraska. And granted, Nebraska get the same dose in the 5th by the same official.
So lets hope he's not the r2 this weekend.

Thanks for starting this thread, eazy!
I’m a Ducks fan and have seen enough amazing things this season to not bet against them. However, I think this will be a tough matchup and if Louisville shuts down Brooke and/or Mimi and we don’t get strong offense from anyone else, we won’t have success.
How well does Louisville block and dig compared to Nebraska? I haven’t watched them a ton this year.
I think we can expect to see another slow start, unfortunately. Brooke alluded to it in the post-match conference after Nebraska, where she said there’s only so much they can learn from film, and they really need to get on the court and play some points before making further necessary adjustments. It makes sense but it is also nerve wracking.
Regardless, I’m hoping for another good match! After that match yesterday morning, most of the other matches seemed tame.

I would love to see Oregon win, but I am not too confident in that. Louisville looks really good and has better balance.
