Does anyone know if any of the incoming freshmen are enrolling early this January? I assume not, but Kentucky volleyball does a pretty terrible job of releasing information on social media so I wasn’t sure. They still haven’t even posted anything about the incoming transfer Megan Wilson.

I don't think the school/coaches can post about or comment on transfers until they're officially enrolled, so it might be a little before we get a UK post about Wilson. Haven't heard about the freshmen so I'd assume we don't see them until the summer.
I really do think the media team can do more to generate some buzz, but I remember last offseason I was wondering why can't we get some hype videos from practice or the coaches mic'd up like the football or basketball teams? Turns out, those sports are the exceptions and for all the rest it'd be an NCAA violation. So I kinda give em a pass for the "jumping for joy because it's Friday" posts we're about to get until August. I just hope with Anders gone somebody else will post highlights from the spring games.

I get what your saying, but go look at what programs like Nebraska, Texas, Louisville, etc. post on their social media accounts compared to Kentucky’s. It’s embarrassingly bad how little creativity and marketing they do no matter what “rules” are in place.

Gray-Walton takes assistant job at A&M. What about Coach Bird at UK? It’s well said that her and Skinner have a great friendship. Has anyone else heard anything on the AC opening?

Byrd was a great assistant at Kansas. A lot of their players credit her with the success that Kansas had in recruiting and training. |

Never say never, but I'd bank on it being a young up-and-coming coach. I looked back at all our assistants since Steinbrecher and they were all hired in their 20s and all took their first head coaching gig when they left, except Cramer who's out of coaching right now. Skinner always talks in interviews about how he loves teaching and mentoring young people and I think that applies to coaches as much as players. He probably gets more fulfilment out of that than he would just bringing a friend on board to help them regain their coaching mojo.
