According to the awesome RichKern.com site, Macy is in the portal. If you don't subscribe to this site you should , awesome info on recruiting, rankings, results, etc.

Arizona St has a bunch in the portal and on his site so thought it was current! Rich Kern's site has mostly current information, but it appears from what I've seen that at least some of the time, a player is listed, and then they just stay listed. So you'll notice that Macy is listed as a Soph., whereas this season she is a Junior -- dignittanyvolleyball.com/2022-roster/Though Macy may have been in the Portal at the time Rich Kern listed her, he never updated it. I’m really hopping we can use the portal to gain build on the momentum from this season. Here’s additions I’d like to see next season
Returners
- Markley and Anjelina both need to get in the gym. Both have room to get strong and find my creativity with their shot making and use of the block. If they develop enough we have two really solid OHs.
- Allie Holland is an All American. We need Trammell to work on her offensive game because imo the season turned around when Clark moved to the starting lineup.
- If zoe doesn’t find a way to swing around the block and decrease her errors… I’d like to see her on the bench.
- Liberos/Ds Will continue to be the strength of this team
Transfer
- setter is probably the most important need
- id still like another dynamic 6 rotation OH or OPP to replace Kash
- middle blocker we are a little thing there

You were expressing hope that Penn State can address some needs through the Portal. jagdpanther is an inveterate pessimist, to whom hope appears to be a foolish outlook, or perhaps too risky to entertain. Which is too bad. For me, and I think for many fans (and I have zero doubt that jagdpanther is a fiercely loyal Penn State fan), hoping for success and a better future is part of the fun -- even when tempered with the realization that " hope" won't always be realized. Russ Rose, the GOAT, is the consummate realist, but also has been a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, for cryin' out loud  That couldn't happen without a heapin' helpin' of hope. Or, put more simply: "Always look on the bright side of life!" |
