Menger hasn’t been terrible but if AU loses to a Penn State team with a setter who wasn’t even recruited as one, they should disband the entire organization. they already lost sets to what was practically Wisconsin's B team lol which is even worse imo Penn State and Wisconsin will be much better in the fall, but the AU team yesterday was a very depleted roster. Wisconsin has experienced and physical players in every position.

Is Penn State running a 6-2? Why the need to add two setters and and opposite off the portal with Weatherington already established on RS? I’d like to see more serve receive options.

Mac Podraza did not come to PSU to run a 6-2. The other setter knows that probably wants to be on a good team and get an advanced degree. Camryn Hannah provides needed depth. Weatherington can be lethal but had some real struggle moments last year. I don’t think she’s a lock for that spot.

Injuries happen (just ask Northwestern, which lost its top TWO setters last season for a number of matches). Plus, Van Eekeren wanted to play at Penn State, understood the situation, and embraced the challenge. As to Hannah and Weatherington, neither is a lock. But as nevball17 said, Hannah brings depth even if she doesn't win the starting spot. In addition, she has two years of eligibility remaining, so she'll help next season too, whereas Zoe graduates after this season.

She withdrew from Penn State in early January. Didn't she also just arrive in early January? Here's the complete timeline: PSU welcomed Snyder to PSU on January 5, 2023. Mac Podraza announced her commitment to PSU on January 23rd. On January 24th, DigNittany learned that Snyder had withdrawn from PSU (not sure exactly when she officially withdrew). On January 25th, Ally Van Eekeren announced her commitment to PSU.

Penn State fans - While we await August for Women's Volleyball, FYI that the Men's Team will be competing vs. Hawaii in the NCAA Semi-Finals tomorrow (Thursday, May 4).

Thanks for keeping us informed of all things PSU volleyball @nyline !! It's almost all Ethan Kasales, from DigNittanyVolleyball. I just steal his posts from DigNittany, and replicate them here. But you're welcome
