I have seen quite a few OSU matches since my 1st in 1980 and these 2 ladies have a special place in my heart. Laura Davis brought OSU to 2 final fours and a pair of Big Ten Titles. While Stacey Gordon did not manage to get to a final four or win a Big Ten title, she set a new standard of all around play and became OSU's 1st 4 time All American. Thank you Ladies. I love those two, also. Hey, those pics make it look like they are singing the National Anthem. Stacey has huge hands, while Laura tries to hide hers.

Stacey has huge hands, while Laura tries to hide hers. Typical ploy when one wants the attention focused on her calves. Luckily they cropped the sandals so the pedicured toenails would not steal attention.

Who is the blonde lady behind Gordon? Her mom? Yes, that's Lorraine Gordon. I also learned that's Stacey's real hair color. ;D Thanks, BF, for the pics!!!

Laura Davis is among my favorite all-time players - good to see OSU honor her.

Great pics! Nice to see how another Major school honors their POYs and even their All-American players with large long Banners hanging throughout their Arena Good idea for other Universities to do...HAWAII would have a ton of banners for POY Teee Williams, Angelica Lundquist, Deitre Collins, Kim Willoughby and then many, many more for all of their All-American VB players over the years

I feel old.
I remember seeing all three of them play and really liked watching Laura Davis set.
Heck, I think I felt old when they were all in college too.

How dare they crop Pa Gordon out of the picture! Worse yet, that's probably his elbow--and his LEFT elbow is his photogenic one.
We fathers get no respect...

Laura has her kids wearing Buckeye colors already.
I think that's Laura's kid beside her. Don't you just hate it when somebody's kid walks into frame and steals your thunder!

To tell you the truth, it was all set up. After Laura delivered her speech she handed the microphone to her daughter who loudly and clearly screamed, "GO BUCKS"

Great pics! Nice to see how another Major school honors their POYs and even their All-American players with large long Banners hanging throughout their Arena (quote) And it didn't stop there. Stacey was named Athlete of the Year at OSU for the second consecutive year so she was honored at the football game the next day, standing at the 50 yard line in front of 104,000+ fans. I gotta tell ya, that OSU is something else when it comes to class. Thanks a million to all involved.
