I am hopeful that Texas weathers the initial and inevitable stretch where things aren't going well. Regroup, refocus. San Diego is playing with house money as they say, while Texas carries the weight of season-long expectations. Mental toughness will be crucial. interested to see how texas deals with the left sides compared to stanford (if usd is passing decently). Stanfords middle and right side blockers all block more ball per set than their counterparts at texas, but texas floor defense is better. texas will have better left side blockers on frohling. I could see usd being left side heavy as the match goes on, and I think the OHs are gonna be their best chance to put some balls away if they can keep blossom within 10ft of the net

Having watched both teams, I still give the edge to Texas. However, SD has an underdog mentality and performs pretty consistently. I wouldn’t be terribly surprised by an upset.
