I am nervous just because USD came back and pulled out a win at Stanford. I think that if we can capitalize when blossom is up front and build a sizable lead and play good defense, not even stellar, but being intentional with our touches I think we can pull out a win. I didn't seem like their serving was all that tough though so Akana babygirl you are safe. I think fixing the connection between SKT and Skinner as late in the game against OSU it didn't seem good at all will be a big key for me. Also I think getting Caffey going early as well as putting Molly in great spots. I don't remember hearing a lot from her offensively

This goes to San Diego in 5. Why? They play with so much grit and so much heart. They have that chip on their shoulders of “why not us?” They will play in a neutral court, more likely that non-FF4 fans will root for them.

Also can someone do position/player match ups? How do you think each starter matches up with each other?
Eggleston = Frohling Skinner = Edwards Phillips = Lukes O’Neal = Blackwell Caffey = Stoner SKT = Blossom Fleck = Benbow Akana = Allen

This is tough. I think Texas pulls through this match.
However, you know who won't win? Whichever team "wants it more." Can someone ban this saying?

I think Texas will come out on top, but it won’t be easy. Texas has to play good volleyball if they want to win, the messy volleyball that sometimes shows up in their games won’t do.

I think Texas needs to serve and pass significantly better than USD to win this game due to Blossom's abilities. The question is, can USD serve tough enough to disallow that and can they hang in there with their own passing? If not, a mostly in-system Texas will roll on to the finals.
Don't underestimate San Diego, they're capable of pulling this one off.

To win this game Texas is going to have to be able to put in tough serves to make San Diego’s offense predictable. Watching that Stanford game and blossom was just having her way with the offense. Her sets to Luke’s were extremely fast. The block is going to have show up and we need akana to have a better game in serve receive.

Stanford is a tough serving team and San Diego didn’t pass well at all, but Blossom is just that good. Still, you’d much rather her be in the position she was yesterday than just send her lollipops so your point remains true.
