how does one calculate "above expectation"? That's the question I ask management every year during my performance review.
Bada-boom!
Thank you, I'll be here until Friday. And remember to tip your waiter.

I don’t give as much power to madden’s posts on this forum as you do. That's an interesting perspective considering you were the one who spent some of your personal time trying to diagnose him (based on his posts, I assumed) a couple of years ago; you even came up with a (qualified/unqualified?) medical diagnosis which I won't repeat as he found it very offensive. But, yeah, you're better than others in not letting certain posters bother you . . . Lol. I don’t even understand your point. You think he’s trying to damage Texas in some way with his posts. I suggest he doesn’t have the power to do that. You then say I posted my thoughts on his personality as some kind of suggestion he bothers me? He doesn’t. I didn’t consider it a medical diagnosis and I didn’t consider it an insult. He had quit the board at the time and the bulk of my post was about how I missed his presence and like him as a poster. This was in a response to a number of people basically cheering him being gone. I can understand he did find my post offensive, regardless of my intent. and I can understand your glee at bringing it up again because you’re being petty, what I don’t know if you can understand is my complete indifference. What I do know is we’re not getting to a 1000 pages without significant contributikns from you, both providing content about the program and you constantly poking sticks at everyone, including me, so well done in that regard!

That's tea. Even if Chloe would've been 5'10, I think she would've had a Carlini-esque hype during her college career. She was so quick to the ball and had amazing hands. Even with that, she had a pretty good vertical jump. I remember her one block against Foecke in the 2016 semis. the 2016 semis is forever the funniest match of all time. Nebraska was like ridiculously stacked and Texas was definitely in more of a rebuild year with some weird line up stuff and they kinda looked a bit janky most of the year but they sure went and did the thing and swept Nebraska. That’s honestly one of Texas biggest accomplishments imo is making that final. They overachieved with that line up and don’t get much credit for it I feel My opinion, the best coaching job JE ever did was the 2010-2011 season. That year, many of the team got nicked up and were in and out of the lineup. With duct tape and a grad-student walkon [he talked into joining the team like Morgan O'Brien], Lauren Dickson, he willed the team into the Final Four, where they were crushed by Penn State. He played Baylor with only 7 players for the entire 4 sets. I remember watching from the stands that they were exhausted and soaked in sweat by the end.

how does one calculate "above expectation"? I believe it’s when at least 60% of the time you get a kill every time.

how does one calculate "above expectation"? this is from chad gordon (volly.dork) to answer your question we look at the situation the attacker was dealt (perfect pass, 1 on 1 block, strength of opponent) and find how the average player would do in that situation. Then we look at the result from the attack We take the difference between these over all their attacks and that becomes how well they performed relative to expectation Good question 👍

AU is playing UK now on ESPN+. Not sure if it’s the same roster Texas will be playing.

Rare combination of exceptional skill and exceptional leadership. I still think Yaazie Bedart-Ghani is my all-time favorite of those who were at Texas their entire collegiate career. Was able to transform her physique after she arrived at Texas, and undoubtedly proved what an unselfish teammate she was showing her willingness to play any of the 3 front row hitter positions based on the team's needs, including training how to play MB one season and helping that season end as national runner-ups.

Had the team passed a 2 she may have had 35+ lol
