The University Co-op told us the 2022 Volleyball National Championship (love saying that!) shirts will be ready in 7 - 10 days. Don't know yet when the tower lighting will be. We want to see it!

I feel like Texas as a state is definitely on the ups as it relates to beach volleyball. When I lived in Austin and Houston, it was a big part of the social scene. I can't tell you how many hours I spent at Aussie's and then they opened that new huge complex on the north side (Can't remember the name). Then in Houston, we would go to Third Coast or Wakefield. Lots of good pro players now making Texas their home, so I imagine we should be able to get a great coach.
Holly McPeak would be an huge get tbh!

I loved what the announcers said that Logan when she first came to Texas was just concerned about her own game and now she plays for her team and how important team chem is! If all the great young players could learn this one thing it would be so big for the team they are on. It's not about them..its about the whole team. You could see a huge difference in how the team played together vs from years past. It was fun to see!

Looking forward to a new season is always exciting. Unfortunately, tomorrow or the next day could bring some news of any Longhorns who will be entering the transfer portal. I forget which poster last March broke the news that Iosia would be leaving, but they are EF Hutton in my book.

I noticed something that may very well be nothing but here it is lol. Carlee Pharris (R-FR) Setter from TCU is following Sullivan, Elliott and Elliott’s wife, Kenna, Molly, Reilly and Reese (2024). Kenna, Reilly and Reese all follow back. Her boyfriend plays baseball at UT and she’s originally from San Antonio. If they do go after another setter I don’t think she’d be the one but I’m not a NC winning coach lol. Could be nothing but it definitely caught my eye. Was very excited to see her there! we saw swindle in omaha she's @ least 6'2 or taller (remember when molly p was initially recruited she was 6'1 & when she got to texas she was 6'5)...she seemed very tall maybe i'm losing it we had just won the championship |

Look, given the astronomical rate at which Halter is improving, I don't think it's a given that Barnes wins the jersey. Look at what Baby Spice has become in 6 months. You give that girl another 6, who knows. Not to mention beach volleyball in the spring will really take her training and skills to another level. That goes for everyone really but our littles will really benefit. I've always felt Bigs gain more from playing Beach than Littles. Littles tend to already have solid fundamentals on passing serves, footwork, digging driven balls, bump setting, etc... |
