Y'all. PSU up on Wisconsin 2-1, and 23-18 in the 4th ETA: PSU wins! Damn! If Texas had won against K-State we probably could have moved to #2 and set the internet on fire. Well, maybe we would have stayed at 3, Stanford at 2, and Wisconsin at 4. That probably would have been controversial, too. But reality is we’ll probably drop to 7 or 8 now. |

The only seedlings I really care about is the top four seeds that are regional hosts and then #5-12 that play one another in the 3rd round. I’d prefer not to play the regional host in the 3rd round as the #13-16 seed. There’s zero chance in my mind they get a top 4 seed after the loss to KState. They just don’t have enough “significant wins” which the committee is obviously classifying as top 10 RPI. They would have to absolutely collapse to fall to the #13-16 mark. So like nellynel says, let’s just beat Iowa State. |

So like nellynel says, let’s just beat Iowa State. I think something to consider is the RPI top 10 from the last reveal isn't going to be the same as the RPI top 10 for the end of the season. Pretty sure Washington St isn't top 10 in the RPI anymore, and they were considered a significant win for a couple teams. Maybe teams losing and BYU winning moves BYU into the top 10 and gives Texas 2 significant wins. I agree that a top 4 seed is unlikely, and at this point, Texas just needs to focus on the game ahead of them. But wanted to point out that there are a lot of games left--particularly in the PAC 12, ACC, and SEC--that can shake things up, and I can see how the right amount chaos could benefit Texas.
