đ đ From the little I understand the selection is a bit of math and a little bit of art. Where decisions are subjective I think they will consider which matchups with greater rivalries and can impact ratings - it also makes it interesting to have the conferences face off - especially with the Big 10âs fall from grace - (oh no you didnât!!) Even worth those subjective measures, Texas hasnât done anything noteworthy enough to break through and claim a 1 seed. Their best wins were against Kansas and BYU, all at home. Theyâve also lost at home twice to highly rated teams. Washington Stateâs recent downfall also doesnât help matters. Texas also has losses to one team thatâs squarely on the bubble, and another team that wonât make the tournament. No other team in hosting contention has that poor of losses. If the committee wants to stand on the same âlaurelsâ that had them decide San Diego was a 2 seed last year, the same criteria would have Texas as a 2 seed at best. Not hating on Texas specifically, but giving Texas a 1 seed when comparing their body of work to everyone else in contention for a spot would be very shady. Also, itâs 2023. Who says âOh no you didnâtâ anymore? I like you despite your surly demeanor. What do you think the top four will be? Itâs interesting you didnât say but clearly youâre not short on opinion.

First time Iâve heard Surly used outside of The Simpsons, so good on you for that! đ Happy to share my opinions! Hereâs how I see the top four at this point: 1. Nebraska 2. Stanford 3. Pitt (if they win tomorrow) 4. Wisconsin (in spite of recent losses, still have a strong resume and a good lineup when healthy) My 5-8 would be: 5. Oregon (based on their win over ASU tonight) 6. Louisville (if they lose tomorrow) 7. Texas (dominant in conference, but donât have the resume of the teams above them) 8. Arkansas/Kentucky (depending on who wins the SEC)

Itâs quite the community, with a very no holds barred mentality. They even prevent you from editing or deleting your posts after about 15 minutes, so mean what you say.
