Ella was also unanimous for the all-rookie team. I don't think she ever got a rookie of the week award, so glad to see her get some very deserved credit!

and as fans we want what’s best for Texas and well… so do i but there's ways to do it...it's a choice how you express yourself My all-time favorite are those posters who start out their statements with "I don't mean to be a hater . . ." knowing good and well they are about to take a jab. It's kind of like starting a statement with "No offense, but . . . " knowing good and well what they are going to say will be totally offensive. |

and as fans we want what’s best for Texas and well… this is just my opinion, but at some point you ride or die with what you’ve got. She’s not Melanie, she’ll never be Melanie. Griping about this this late in the season just seems punitive to Jenna at this point. We’re defending a title, we’ve already got a target on our backs. We don’t need shots firing from inside the house. In all fairness, the same handful of posters have been griping all season long. They know good and well that nothing they post on here changes things on the court; but, they insist on bitching and moaning in order to make themselves feel better. Doing it a few times, fine. Doing it over and over, match after match, week after week, month after month serves no purpose other than a totally selfish one. |

Definitely a choice Everything each of us posts on here is a choice. It's not a requirement. We're not being forced to post. It's about having self-control and showing respect for our players and coaches even when offering "constructive" criticism. |

She went to a much better situation for herself. I’m happy for her. I don’t see her as part of a solution for this team. The good news is we’ve never seen a widespread pining for Fields or any of the other transfers, even while some of those players have enjoyed success at their new program. This is a dangerous team that hasn’t really put it all together this year. Here’s hoping they put together some nice building blocks in these two opening round matches and head to the regional with a lot of confidence. Being a great serving and blocking team with two 1st team all America types to lean on is a good place to be starting from. Skinner is capable of flat out taking over matches regardless of where she is on the court. |

I'm ok with Halter not getting on a team, she knows the work she needs to put in on the off season.

I'm ok with Halter not getting on a team, she knows the work she needs to put in on the off season. And for Swindle, she’ll get better. The potential is there. I will say I think we put more pressure on our back row to cover more ground and read attackers. Other teams seem to do more scheming with their blockers to funnel attacks to specific parts of the floor and then have a more focused coverage with the libero and back row defenders. We seem to give more independence to our middle blockers. I don’t have any stats or charts to back me up, though. |

no one else on Texas deserved a nod. period. Bella averaged just RIGHT over a kill and block per set. that’s not close to All Conference numbers. Molly under 2kps as a pin? no. Jenna? no. Ella? not there yet. this team is nothing if not Madi Skinner. we need everyone to step up in the tournament, but Madi carried us at an insane level this conference season and we’re gonna need some more crazy games from her if we want to get to Tampa.

THIS but also I've noticed that we've overused Madi a lot. So, it's not stepping up. We also need to utilize our players. With Ella dumping more than our past setters, she's taking away opportunities for their numbers (Jenna and Bella) and they're not impressive numbers. I would understand if she had better numbers and more terminal but theyre not good enough for me. |
