Texas State is doing a pretty good job at making SMU look good though imo SMU’s big strength is they don’t let balls hit the floor and they win in transition. That can translate, when being terminal or blocking real well doesn’t. I hate playing scrappy teams. I love being scrappy teams |

Maybe that says something about our offense, but I think we’re much more able to stay in rallies than we’ve done in the past. When I first started watching UT, if we didn’t put the ball away the first couple tries the rally was not going our way FBSO or bust |

But O’Brien was the turning point in this era of Texas staying in longer rallies. |

There are several times I felt like we were losing every long rally we participated in. KState was the latest example. It’s unfair to compare last year’s team to this one, but I felt like we were going to win every long rally. This year? Not so much. We’re not as good defensively and outside of Skinner, we don’t score out of system well at all. Maybe that changes, though. |
