All conference season long we played so much better on the second day/night of a 2-match series. I am glad that happened in the post-season, too.
For SMU, they had not lost a set since October, I believe. I felt that if we could win the first set, the doubts would set in for SMU. Very solid match tonight.
Hoping this good mojo carries on tomorrow in Arlington for football and Sunday when women's hoops hosts UConn!

I dont watch much of texas outside big matchups - but when did swindle stop jump setting? I feel like she was at the start of the season or am I just wrong

It’s almost certainly an effort to keep her from too many load bearing landings during the course of a match. They do some crazy analytics on that kind of stuff. I don’t know how much it’s helping, but Texas has been remarkably free of major injuries for quite some time (knock on wood). They get banged up like everyone else does, but not a lot of game time missed by the starters overall over the years.

yall she's been setting flat-footed more since like early November lol, ever since the cast was first spotted
it's just gone to another level in the postseason, and personally I think she's better for it

I love that guy! I mentioned in the match thread I wish he got more screen time. He just has so much joy! I can sincerely say I’ve never had the dance moves that dude has.
