In JE's pregame press conference he said two things:
1. In Europe, they've done away with line judges - I think I've heard of this before? Is it all camera work from the guys at the table if it's not obvious?
2. "They're making changes in the SEC that will address help this. So that'll be good to see"

IDK about Europe generally but in most international play I've seen, yes. It's all Hawkeye on the lines, same as tennis tournaments and it's so fast. The replay is up in about 10 secs. The net cams have so many frames per second that sometimes players admit touches as soon as the other team challenges, because they aren't going to get away with anything, they might as well keep going |

And as we know, we look at these slow motion replays that have the blurry ball maybe(?) and maybe not(?) touching the tips of players' hands.
Maybe the SEC is going to high speed cameras? Maybe that's what's happening?

At the beginning of the season I told myself I wasn’t going to rewatch any of last years matches during the season because I didn’t want to constantly be comparing this team to that one. For better or worse I’ll get to watch those matches again this weekend, and I realllly hope it’s not till Sunday 🤘🏾

They don’t have line judges also on all FIVB competitions like the VNL this summer in Arlington. They use hawkeye and it sends to the 1st ref the image directly so no need to challenge. It would be nice to implement also the honor system and the team who admits to a fault gets a prize to avoid game delay due to challenge. |

I'm trying to recall if we have been more successful when we play in the first semi-final or the second semi-final. 2013 -- First semi-final was a loss to Wisconsin 2020 -- Second semi-final was a sweep over #1 Wisconsin  |

I have been seeing more instances where the players or assistants are trying to "wave off" the coach from using the challenge card in order to save a unnecessary challenge. For the players they're trying to be so, so subtle about it not to let the judges know they may have gotten it right in the first place. |
